The short version

  • You must be 18 or older. No exceptions.
  • Be respectful, follow the Rules, and never post anything involving minors.
  • You own what you post, and you're responsible for it.
  • VIP is paid. Charges show on your statement as GreenCharge Inc., never as a chat site.
  • Break the rules and you can be banned, with no refund.

1. Agreement

Welcome to Intrigue Chat. We built this place for adults who want real conversation, a little mystery and a community worth sticking around for. These Terms are the agreement between you and Intrigue Chat.

By entering as a guest, creating an account, or using any part of Intrigue Chat (rooms, private messages, the wall, gifts or VIP), you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Rules. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2. You must be 18 or older

Intrigue Chat is for adults only. You must be at least 18, and of legal age where you live, to enter. By using the site you confirm that you are.

If we believe an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it immediately. Anyone who knowingly helps a minor get access is banned too.

3. Your account

  • You can join as a guest or register a full account. Give honest details where we ask for them.
  • Keep your password private. You're responsible for everything done under your account. Staff will never ask for your password.
  • One person, one identity. Don't impersonate anyone, and don't share, sell or transfer your account.
  • Usernames that are hateful, sexual toward minors, or impersonate staff or real people can be changed or removed.

4. How you behave

Treat people with respect: their boundaries, their privacy, and their faith and beliefs. The full list is in our Rules, which are part of these Terms. In particular, you must never:

  • Post anything illegal, including any sexual content involving minors. We report it to law enforcement.
  • Post any media (pictures, gifs, video or audio) that contains children or child themes.
  • Harass, bully, threaten, or use hate speech against anyone.
  • Share someone's personal information, photos, messages or conversations without their consent (doxing).
  • Spam, advertise, or ask other users for money, gifts or payment details.
  • Hack, overload, scrape or disrupt the site, or use bots or automated scripts.
  • Make new accounts or use a VPN or proxy to get around a mute, kick or ban.

5. Your content

You own what you post. Only post things you have the right to share. By posting, you give Intrigue Chat permission to store and display it on the site so the chat can work. That permission ends when the content is deleted, except where we need to keep it for safety or legal reasons.

Content on Intrigue Chat is created by users. We don't check every message, profile or picture before it appears, and it doesn't reflect our views. We can remove any content that breaks these Terms or the Rules. If something crosses the line, report it.

6. Payments and discreet billing

Payments are processed securely by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card or bank details.

Your privacy comes first. All charges appear on your bank or card statement as GreenCharge Inc. The name Intrigue Chat, or any mention of a chat site, will not appear on your statement.

If you see a charge from GreenCharge Inc. that you don't recognise, please contact us through the Contact Us page before disputing it with your bank. We'll help sort it out quickly.

7. VIP, Intrigue+ and virtual items

  • VIP is a paid upgrade that unlocks extra features, such as access to more rooms, sending gifts and more. Features can change as the site grows.
  • Intrigue+ is a complimentary upgrade for VIP members whose room is approved. It lets you run your own room. Room approval is at the owners' discretion, and an approved room must follow these Terms and the Rules.
  • Gold and Rubies are virtual items used only inside Intrigue Chat, for example for gifts and name changes. They have no cash value and can't be sold, exchanged for money, or transferred outside the site.

8. No refunds for bans

If your account is suspended or banned for violating these Terms, our Rules or any other site policy, you will not receive a refund for VIP or any other purchase. You also lose any remaining VIP time, Intrigue+ status, your room, Gold, Rubies and other virtual items on that account.

9. Moderation

Our staff can warn, mute, kick, suspend or permanently ban any account, and remove any content, that breaks these Terms or the Rules or harms the community. Serious violations, especially anything involving minors, get a permanent ban and a report to the authorities. We don't always have to give a warning first.

If you think a decision was wrong, contact us through the Contact Us page. We'll review it, but the final decision is ours.

10. Ending your account

You can leave at any time by deleting your account: tap your profile picture, then Edit Profile, then Delete Account. Deleting your account ends any remaining VIP time and removes your virtual items. What happens to your data afterwards is explained in our Privacy Policy.

11. Your safety and our liability

  • We work hard to keep Intrigue Chat safe, but we provide the platform, not the people. We aren't responsible for what other users say or do, on or off the site.
  • Be careful about sharing personal details, sending money, or meeting anyone in person.
  • Links to other websites are not under our control, and we aren't responsible for them.
  • Intrigue Chat is provided "as is". We can't promise it will always be available, secure or error-free, and we may change, pause or remove features at any time.
  • To the extent the law allows, Intrigue Chat isn't liable for indirect losses or damages from using the site, and you agree to take responsibility for any claims caused by your own content or conduct.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Intrigue Chat grows. The date at the top always shows the latest version, and we'll announce big changes on the site. If you keep using Intrigue Chat after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
